Bishop John visits to present the Francis Coales Chalice, Sunday 12th October 2014
The Francis Coales Trust is a charity we have used several times when we have been doing the work to our church suggested in various Quinquenniels. They have always been very generous with their grants. This year we were awarded The Francis Coales Chalice for being the PCC within four counties to have done the most to keep their church in good repair.
On Sunday 12th October we had a special service followed by a lunch ( the money for which was also provided by the trust). This service was attended by Bishop John, and three members of the trust who had travelled from Essex, Norfolk and Minehead.
The pictures show the chalice and Bishop John with the three trustees, the churchwardens Celia Terrey and Ann Smith and Niki Phillips who applied for all our grants.
